The Book Bug Spreads!
Wainstalls Book Week has really taken off. Don?t forget that tomorrow (Thursday) is our Book Character Dressing Up Day ? children should bring £1. The Book Fair will be open after school each day until up to and including Thursday.

And other bugs too?
It is not only the book bug which has struck this week. We have had a number of children away with a tummy bug. I have reminded children in assembly of the importance of washing their hands after going to the loo and before eating, and it would be helpful to reinforce this message at home?
FOW
It is the Friends of Wainstalls meeting at The Crossroads next Wednesday (29th March) at 8.00pm. Do come along and help us to decide how best to spend the money that you have all helped to raise.
Fruity Fridays
This was more successful last week so Grace and Alex want to carry on running their stall. So don?t forget?
Key Stage 2, bring a small school fund contribution on Friday and enjoy a piece of fruit!

Rags to Riches
Don?t forget that the Bags2School collection day is tomorrow (Thursday). Please put your bags in the playground shed and any help loading the lorry at the end of the day will be appreciated.

Parents Evenings
A letter will be going out tonight asking your preferred appointment time for parents evenings on Wednesday and Thursday 5th and 6th April. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred time and ensure sibling appointments suit. Appointments are filled as requests come in so the sooner you return the form, the more likely you are to receive your time. We do like to ensure that everyone speaks to their child?s classteacher and it is a parent responsibility to attend as outlined in our Home-School Agreement. If there is a genuine difficulty making either of the two nights, please contact me and we can discuss alternative arrangements.
Another Fun Focus Week?
Hot on the heals of this week?s Book Week, next week is Wainstalls Science Week. We have many activities planned to promote science and help the children to learn. The normal timetable will be thrown to the wayside as the children work on a number of science related activities all built around a storybook. We will be welcoming ?Starchaser?, a group which work with the children on rocket building, and Zoo Lab will be bringing in some animals for the children to study and maybe handle. So our NASA scientists and David Attenboroughs of the future will hopefully be inspired next week?

Please note: Zoolab will be bringing a range of animals which children may handle but only if they want to. If your child has a particular allergy and you do not want them to be near a particular kind of animal, please let us know by Monday.
Well done to all our Cross Country runners who competed for Wainstalls at the Holy Trinity Tournament last week. Claudia came fourth in the girls? race and everyone competed well. Thanks too to all the parents who have helped ferry our cross country runners to and from Holy Trinity. Watch out for the return of Cross Country Club next year?
