4 Apr 2006 - Wainstalls Determined But Defeated

Wainstalls faced the undefeated strength of St Malachy?s at home on Tuesday. We put on a brave performance and managed to hold them well for the first 15 minutes. Once they scored their first goal, however, it was difficult to hold them back. With key members of our team away from school, the remaining Wainstalls players had to use all their skill to keep the goals from flooding in. In the end we lost 6-0. However, none of the team gave up and their determination and effort was a credit to them all. Well done Wainstalls.

We now have two wins and two defeats before we play our last league match against the mighty Lee Mount after the holidays.
