Friends Of Wainstalls

Thanks for taking the time to have a look at our page. We hope that it will give you a better idea of what Friends of Wainstalls (FOW) are about, and the fundraising events we have throughout the year.

FOW organise these events to raise money for the school, but we rely on the continued support and generosity of parents, teachers and sponsors who support them. This is where the money comes from. All pupils attending Wainstalls benefit from the money raised as it all goes back in to their learning environment, either inside the classroom, library, playground or hall.. the list is endless.

committee members:

Chair person: Kate Hallward           Purchaser: Alison Mears-Sykes

Vice Chair: Caroline Hesselden     Social Secretary: Julie Lord

Secretary: Suzanne Bisland            Publicity Officer: Jo Needler

Treasurer: Beverley Wilson             Parent Communications: Jo Needler

If you require a contact number for any FOW members above, please contact school.

Our committee is a small group of about 15 parents, and any parent at the school is welcome to join. We have a lot of fun organising the events which contribute to the great atmosphere of the school and provide much needed funding. If you think you might like to take part then just contact us.

We also need occasional helpers, parents who are happy to be called on to assist at various events, but do not want to be on the committee. This is particularly helpful for events like the Christmas Fayre and the ‘W’ Factor, as these events need a lot of help planned in advance.

Our NEXT MEETING will be held at The Delvers Public House on Monday 2nd November. Please come along and meet us - everyone is welcome!

Please come along and enjoy the get together as we need your support to continue to raise much needed funds for our school. All are welcome and it’s your opportunity to have your voice heard.
