TEXTILE WALL-HANGINGS by Class 5

The original designs were created on squared paper and have then been transformed into lovely fabric wall-hangings. There is a pad of wadding inside the hanging to give it some softness and depth. The process of making the hangings has taken several weeks from start to finish and has required a good deal of patience and skill!
Hannah has made her design a very complicated one! It has taken a long time to design the hanging then to cut out the individual pieces from coloured felt. The colours chosen were all part of the original design.
Liam has used a sewing machine and hand sewing to create his hanging - he has chosen to decorate it with some LARGE! pearly beads.
The designs have been glued onto a backing fabric and have then been decorated with stitches or beads and sequins.
